I would ask that the girls start paying dues and get registration forms in to Keri as soon as you can. We cannot start contact practice until this is done. It will also let me start getting a line up together. Robynne Hansen is our Team Captain this year, I ask that if you know you are not available for practice let her know. We need numbers out to practice so we can get set for the game in 3 weeks. Hull is a huge test day 1, we need to be ready! We are getting there but have a lot of work left to do yet

Our Practices will be outside at the field on Paardeburg Blvd until further notice. Get off that couch and come to practice. We need players for both men and women!

Bring your boots. We will be outside Tuesday night for practice at the park on Paardeburg Blvd on base. The turnout has been great, but we really need to get the straglers out to practice. The mens side have a game in just over a month and the women a couple weeks later. WE NEED FORWARDS!!!!
See you all on Tuesday.

I am going to look at the condition of the field on Paardeburg Blvd on Monday. If the pitch is good to go I would like to start outside practice on Tuesday.

Dues MUST be paid & registration complete before you can play in any games. Please talk to Keri-Lyn if you require more than one payment arrangement to be set up. Two-week registration will not be in effect until the second half of the season.
Men - $280
Women - $270
Differences in the dues reflect the fact that the men play more games, which have an additional cost associated with the home field and ref. The graph below will give you an idea of the types of things that are covered by the dues.

While playing rugby as a member of the Balmy Beach Rugby Club of Toronto in 1993 Kerry Singh (“Huggy”) suffered a spinal cord injury, which resulted in quadriplegia. He is raising funds to buy a much needed wheelchair-accessible van, replacing one that is over 15 years old now. A new van with wheelchair-accessible modifications means great improvement to his quality of life and continued enjoyment of his independence of mobility.
Several members of the Canadian Rugby Community have already donated towards his van fund and he is extremely grateful for their support! However, Kerry still needs the help of many more people in the rugby community.
Please visit http://donate.rugbycanada.ca/e/huggy to donate and support his efforts to purchase a new wheelchair-accessible van. You can also visit his website at www.hugsvanfund.ca to learn more about Kerry and his fundraising effort.

Yes it is short notice but I would like the execs to gather next Tuesday, April the 3rd from 8-9 pm (2nd half of practice at General Panet).
If you are not on the exec but have received this email it is because you have expressed interested in being a part of fundraising/community efforts - we welcome you to attend.
What is on the agenda:
Giving the dues the green light
Commencing registration
Schedule
Marketing & Advertisement
Sponsorship
FUNDRAISERS!
Key dates for the season
Please let me know if you will not be able to attend but have thoughts and ideas to contribute.
One last thing - I have heard today and must pass along by Friday if the mens team can commit to one additional home & away game on top of the current schedule, to play teams in the other division. The away game would be in Quebec. If I don't have any interest I will say no thanks.
